HURON –– The South Dakota State Fair announced Tuesday that The Fray will headline grandstand entertainment at this year’s fair.
The Fray was formed in 2002 by schoolmates Joe King and Isaac Slade. The group’s first studio album, “How To Save A Life,” exploded in popularity after the title song was included in the television show Grey’s Anatomy.
The group has featured three top ten singles in their career, four Grammy nominations, three wins and an additional nomination in the Billboard Music Awards, and multiple platinum albums and singles.
The group has released five studio albums and five extended play (EP) albums. The most recent album, “A Light That Waits,” was released March 2026.
VIP table presale begins on Thursday, May 7. Backrest signage and Friends of the Fair presale opens on Monday, May 11, and concludes on Thursday. Tickets go on sale to the public on Tuesday, May 19, at 8 a.m.
