Buchanan K-1 Center students participate in Read Across America

Students at the Buchanan K-1 Center, along with their librarian, Mrs. Hofer, have spent the past two months “traveling” across the country in celebration of Read Across America.

In honor of Read Across America Day on Monday, March 2, Mrs. Hofer put out a request on the Buchanan K-1 Center Facebook page asking for postcards from all 50 states.

Thanks to the overwhelming support from near and far, that goal was officially reached on Thursday with the arrival of the 50th state.

Students thoroughly enjoyed this interactive reading experience, exploring each postcard and learning about places all across the United States.

The project brought reading to life in a fun and meaningful way for young readers.
