The Iroquois preschool has been learning all about plants! They started by investigating seeds from different fruits and vegetables. They compared the seeds with grass seeds, planted the seeds, and made little houses with them. They have been checking their houses and this week they saw the grass had grown so much! Next week they will get to cut their grass and will have a special plant expert do a fun project with flowers!
Mrs. Sara Waldner’s preschool classroom in Iroquois turned into a campground Thursday, April 23rd!
They went on a nature hike and used their senses to understand the beautiful outdoors, they were explorers, photographers, capturing the world around us.
The kids worked together and built their own fire, they talked through ideas, came up with a plan, problem solved, they even decided to use a light inside to make it feel more real.
They gathered sticks for s’mores, sang camping songs and even got to sleep in the tent “under the stars” at naptime!
