High School ELA
In Mr. Pearson’s ELA 9 class, students have just wrapped up reading one of four novels (Treasure Island, The Hobbit, A Wrinkle in Time, or The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe) and are now beginning a creative project related to their books. Students will work collaboratively in groups with other students who read the same novel to produce one of multiple possible projects.
These projects can range from a podcast to a movie trailer to a board game or even a museum exhibit! Students are encouraged to tackle a project that appeals to them and their skill sets. This project synthesizes reading, writing, artistry, and presentation skills into what is more or less a culmination of everything ELA 9 has to offer.
