To the editor:

National Music Week, presented by National Federated Music Clubs, theme is music is a constant companion. From nursery rhymes to holidays, music surrounds us. Growing up in the modern day era has blessed me with a knowledge of music. Everywhere I go, I am surrounded by it, whether on the radio or in a store, music is a substantial part of our everyday lives. The gift of music affects our emotional state of being. Think of the difference a somber song versus an upbeat one would have on your mood. Life without music would be a bleak environment, but thankfully, our generation and those to come have the privilege of enjoying this extraordinary gift.
