ABERDEEN — With four of the top six players in the event, Aberdeen Central won the team title during the Hub City Invitational on Thursday at Moccasin Creek Country Club.
The Golden Eagles finished with a winning total of 295. Mitchell was second at 323, followed by Aberdeen Roncalli at 350, Watertown at 365 and Brookings at 391.
Also participating in the event, but not having enough golfers to qualify for a team score were Pierre and Huron.
Kyley Wirebaugh of Aberdeen Central won the tournament with a 69, while teammate Olivia Braun was second a stroke back.
Mia Larson of Mitchell was third at 75, while teammate Maddie Childs was fourth at 77.
Aberdeen Central teammates Chloe Vikander and Emma Dohrer were fifth and sixth, respectively, with scores of 78.
Taylor Sorben was the top golfer for Huron. She finished 16th with a score of 89. Olivia Purintun turned in a 119 for the Tigers, while Elle Waldoch finished at 128.
Next up for Huron is the Huron Invite on Thursday at Broadland Creek Golf Course.
