Nebraska basketball was able to pick up a commitment from South Dakota State transfer big man Damon Wilkinson. The newest Husker measures in at six-foot-10, 245 pounds.

Wilkinson averaged 13.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game for South Dakota State. He shot 58.9% from the field and 72% from the free-throw line. He recorded three double-doubles last season.

The playmaker earned accolades for a strong season, being named an All-Summit League honorable mention. Wilkinson also shows an ability to draw fouls. He drew an average of 6.1 fouls per 40 minutes last season.

This marks the sixth transfer portal commitment for the men’s basketball program, as Fred Hoiberg and company continue to fill out the roster. The program now only has one roster spot left.

Wilkinson could be a versatile addition for a program that needed depth last season. Now, they have plenty of it.
