BROOKINGS –– Career Development Event winners were recognized during the fourth session of the 98th South Dakota FFA State Convention on Wednesday, April 22, at First Bank and Trust Arena. The session was sponsored by the South Dakota State University College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences.

More than 2,000 FFA members from across South Dakota competed in 15 Career Development Events, showcasing skills developed through agricultural education. These events are designed to prepare students for careers in agriculture by building abilities in critical thinking, communication, and technical knowledge. The following are the state Career Development Event results:

Agricultural Business Management

1st place team: De Smet; Dave VanderWal; Chase Temme, Breyten Johnson, Logan Nielson, and Anothony Escobar.
