Goth named HRMC birthing center coordinator

HURON –– Huron Regional Medical Center (HRMC) is pleased to announce Jessica Goth, RN, BSN, CLC, has been named obstetric patient services coordinator at HRMC, according to Amy Goergen, vice president of patient services for HRMC.

Goth brings nearly a decade of nursing experience and a strong passion for women’s and newborn health care to the position. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Dakota Wesleyan University in 2017 and is a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC). “I am most excited to be back to the department I grew to love and become very passionate about, as well as stepping into a role where I also get to support not only our patients but also our OB nurses who care so well for our community,” said Goth.

As OB Patient Services Coordinator, Goth will provide leadership and operational support for the department while continuing to deliver hands-on patient care. She will work with other nursing leaders and supervisors to facilitate excellent patient care through effective planning, delegation and mentoring.

“By being able to also provide hands-on patient care within my days, I will be able to see firsthand what is going well, what may not be, and overall, this will help provide excellent experiences for our patients,” she added.

Goth’s clinical experience, compassionate approach and dedication to rural health care make her a valuable addition to the organization’s women’s health team.

“Jessica has displayed energy and commitment to ensuring the highest standards of care and true investment in the patient experience in her previous roles at HRMC,” said Goergen. “She has emerged as a leader in each of her roles through her work ethic, team approach and clinical knowledge which makes her an excellent fit for this position.”

Goth is eager to bring her experience to her new role. “I’m really excited to work to promote a welcoming atmosphere and excellent experiences for our patients,” said Goth. “It’s an amazing opportunity to help lead our teams to prepare moms for going home with a new baby.”

Outside of work, Goth enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, running and reading. She and her husband, Matt, live in the area with their two daughters, Addisyn, 5, and Valerie, 3.
