His funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, May 29, at Welter Funeral Home with burial to follow at St. Martin Cemetery in Huron. Visitation, with his family present, will be from 5 to 7 p.m. with a prayer service beginning at 6:45 p.m., on Thursday, May 28, at Welter Funeral Home in Huron. Shayne Michael Hills was born on September 21, 1987, in Graceville, Minn., to Terri Hills.

Shayne loved spending time on his motorcycles, hunting, and fishing. He took great pride in house projects and was always building, fixing, or improving something. His greatest joy, however, was sharing those moments with his family and friends, who meant the world to him.

Shayne found the love of his life in his wife, Natasha. The couple were recently married, and their union was one of Shayne’s greatest joys. Above all, the true center of his life was his wife and son, Boston. He cherished every moment they spent together.

Shayne loved his family and friends with his whole heart, making each person feel protected and deeply cared for, whether through a simple conversation, a helping hand, or just his presence. He was the kind of man who would drop everything the moment someone needed him, no questions asked and without hesitation. Selfless in every way, he carried the burdens of the people he loved without ever asking for anything in return.

He will be remembered not only for the things he did, but for the way he made people feel loved and never alone. His kindness, calm spirit, and unwavering devotion to those he loved will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Shayne is survived by his wife, Natasha, and their son, Boston, of Huron; his mother, Terri Hills of Huron; his brother, Corey Hills of Castlewood; and his sisters, Lindsey (CJ) Alves of Huron and Jaime (Lucas) Swaney of Milbank. He is also survived by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Tim and Lesa Melton of Salem; his sister-in-law, Nichole (Tanner) Snedeker of Woonsocket; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Adrian and Evelyn Hills; his grandparents-in-law, Bud and Geraldine Anderson and Philip and Lois Melton; and his uncle, Jerry Hills.

Shayne was loved by all who knew him.
