A continuing, caring project

Posted

Another of the United Way Day of Caring projects done this fall was the construction of Little Free Libraries around town, including the Kansas Street Mall, Prospect Park and this one, at Central Park.

Northwestern Energy employees, from left Dennis Heinz, Brian Kemnitz and Gary Kasperson built the Little Free Libraries for the community. Funding for the project was provided by Sarah May’s Modern Woodmen and Premier Bankcard. Pictured on the right is Steve Van Winkle of the Huron Parks and Recreation Department.

Community members are encouraged to share the joy of reading by exchanging books at these locations.
