A visit to the apple orchard

Kindernook Preschool students in the 3’s class enjoyed various apple activites, shared a story about Johnny Appleseed, made hats to resemble the pan he wore on his head, and celebrated with apple snacks. In the bottom row are students in the 4’s class, who culminated their apple unit with a field trip to an orchard at the home of Rodney and Beckie Freeman. They enjoyed sipping sweet and delicious cider, which they made from pressing apples. Students were also treated to apple cookies, a video about the life of Johnny Appleseed, a ride in an antique apple cart, and a shiny apple upon boarding the bus.
