HURON — Adeline Jungemann, 90, of Huron and formerly of Wolsey, passed away Monday, November 23, 2020, at Avantara Huron in Huron.
Her family funeral service will be Monday, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wolsey with burial to follow at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation with the family present will be Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Welter Funeral Home in Huron. Her funeral service will be live-streamed on St. John’s Lutheran Church website, St. John’s Lutheran Church Livestream Link.
Adeline Emma Jungemann was born on March 18, 1930, to Frederick and Fernanda (Lenz) Lindhorst in Wolsey. She graduated from Wolsey High School in 1948.
Adeline married Alfred W. Jungemann in Wolsey on November 24, 1949, to this union four children were born, Steve, Linda, Wayne, and Debi. Adeline was a loving mother and homemaker to her family.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church where she was baptized, confirmed, and married. She was a member of LWML and the Wolsey Senior Center. Adeline enjoyed sewing, crafting, playing cards, and Mexican dominoes. She played handbells with the church bell choir and was the organ player for the German church services. She also sang in the church choir. Family and Church were the most important things to her.
She is survived by her loving children, Steve (Lori) Jungemann of Loveland, Colo., Linda Neeman of Huron, Wayne (Debbie) Jungemann of Huron, and Debi (Darrell) Dowdell of Sioux Falls; 13 grandchildren, Brent (Abby) Jungemann, Lynsey Jungemann, Sarah (Tony) Ladd, Dawn (Ken) McFarland, Jennifer (Juan) Sabalier, Matthew Neeman, Ryan (Steph) Jungemann, Heather (Travis) Wipf, Jeremy (Ashley) Jungemann, Keisha Hamilton, Kiana Dowdell, Diante Dowdell, Detrick Dowdell; 20 great-grandchildren, Hayden and Morgan Jungemann, Cameron, Emma and Izabella Johnson, Quentin and Brody Busser, Brooklyn and Carly Ladd, Rain Galvez, Gavin, Cohen and Brenan White, Antonio, Briana and Isabella Hernandez, Nadia and Alejondro Sabalier, James and Jacqulyn Jungemann, Emersyn and Oliver Jungemann, Layton Hamilton, DeShawn Dowdell; and one great-great-grandchild, Kenneth Hernandez; two sisters, Florence Adermann of Wolsey and Ruth (Stan) Pakulla of Crystal Lake, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Alfred in 1981; two brothers, John Lindhorst and Harold Lindhorst; great-grandchild, Liam White; two sisters-in-law, Mary Lindhorst and Carol Lindhorst; brothers-in-law, Ray Adermann and Nick Garbis.
