ALC prepares for annual Fall Festival

HURON — People of all ages gathered in the American Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall to boil 180 pounds of potatoes — enough to make 98 dozen lefses!
It was a fun two-day process to get ready for the ALC Fall Festival planned Tuesday, Oct. 9, in the ALC Fellowship Hall. The event will begin with an ethnic foods bake sale at 8 a.m., featuring lefse, kuchen, krumkake, etc.
Fresh baked rolls and coffee will be served from 8 to 10 a.m.

A luncheon will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., featuring pork loin sandwiches, homemade potato or beef vegetable soup and homemade desserts.
The church is located at 155 Fourth St. S.E. An elevator is available at the Iowa street entrance.
Proceeds will be used to support various mission projects and church property improvements.
