WESSINGTON SPRINGS — Alice M. Schorzmann, 87, Wessington Springs, formerly of Alpena, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2017, at Weskota Manor in Wessington Springs.
Her funeral service will be 2 p.m., Thursday, May 11, at the Alpena United Parish in Alpena with interment in Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, at Welter Funeral Home in Huron followed by a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. or visitation one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
Alice M. Heins was born May 29, 1929, in Puyallup, Wash. to Frank and Alice (Kissner) Heins. She was united in marriage to Melvin D. Schorzmann October 4, 1975. She worked several years at Weskota Memorial Hospital in Wessington Springs.
In later years, Alice and Melvin moved to Wessington Springs. She was a member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary and the United Methodist Church.
 She is survived by husband, Melvin; three sons, Clifford (Janene) Jager of Savage, Minn., Luverne (Linda) Jager of Wessington Springs, and Daryle (Jane) Jager of Urbandale, Iowa; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donnie Heins, Rusty Heins and a sister, Phyllis Heins.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
