MILLER — Althea M. Augspurger, 94, of Miller, passed away Friday, April 5, 2019, at Highmore Health.
Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 1, at the First United Methodist Church of Miller. Burial will be in G.A.R. Cemetery at Miller.
Althea was born September 22, 1924, in Miller to Glen and Opal (DeHart) Ross. She grew up in St. Lawrence, graduating from high school in 1942. She taught for one year in rural Hand County before attending nurses training in Pierre. She was united in marriage to Wendell Augspurger January 25, 1953. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Miller.
She is survived by her sons, Dennis (Laurie) of Broomfield, Colo., Terry (Valerie) of Miller, and Steve (Kim) of Olathe, Kan.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Kathy Jacobson, and Helen (Revy) Wilbourne; sister-in-law, Lorraine Augspurger; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; siblings, Florence (Leslie) Madison, Allen and Ritchie Ross; five brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; and niece, Joanne Burkett.
