WINTER HAVEN, Fla., — Antonio J. Palleria, 74, of Winter Haven, Fla., passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2020, under hospice care and surrounded by family.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Antonio was born September 29, 1945, in Haverhill, Ma., to Antonio and Theresa (Blair) Palleria. He attended schools in Maine and Conn. He served in the US Army with a tour in Viet Nam.
When Antonio was discharged from the Army, he went to work for the town of Watertown, Conn., in the town garage where he helped maintain roads as well as drive a snow plow during the winter months.
In 1973, he married Carolyn Wallach. They had one son, Michael.
In 1999, he moved to Huron. He attended the First United Methodist Church, and sang in the choir for several years. He was a member of the Lions Club and the Back Street Cruisers car club. In November 2019, he moved to Fla., and lived at Savannah Courts in Haines City.
He is survived by his son, Michael (Melanie) Palleria; grandchildren, Hunter and Fiona, all of Thomaston, Conn.; brothers, Frank (Christine) Palleria of Huron, and Joe (Julie) Palleria of East Haddam Conn.; sisters, Gina (Mark) Lafreniere and Marie Elena (Phil) Armatino all of Winter Haven, Fla.; sister-in-law, Lynne Greatorex of Millford, Conn.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Elizabeth and Anna Marie; and one brother, Robert.
