Redfield 81, Miller 59
REDFIELD — Peyton Osborn had five 3-pointers and a game-high 32 points to lead Redfield to an 81-59 victory against Miller on Tuesday.

After trailing 40-37 heading into the second half, the Pheasants outscored Miller 27-6 in the third quarter to build a 64-46 advantage.

Jaxson Frankenstein had 18 points and 14 rebounds for Redfield, which improved to 6-1. Isaac Suchor and Paul Juarez each had 10 points, while Tommy Shantz added nine points and had 10 rebounds.

Trevor Werdel had 19 points to lead three players in double figures for Miller, which is now 2-6.

Spencer Fernholz had 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Alex Schumacher and Caden Gortmaker added 11 and nine points, respectively.

WESSINGTON SPRINGS — A quick start helped Wessington Springs to a 59-48 victory against Mt. Vernon/Plankinton on Tuesday.

The Spartans, who improved to 4-3, led 17-11 after the opening quarter and never trailed.

Mason Schelske had 20 points to lead three players in double figures for Wessington Springs. Tyler Kole had 14 points and Dylan Schimke had 12 points.

Scheske and Cooper Hainy each had five rebounds for the Spartans, while Schimke, Hainy and Gerritt Brandenburg each had two assists.

Rylee Deinert paced Mt. Vernon/Plankinton (2-5) with 14 points. Reed Rus had 10 points, while Lincoln Klooz had eight points.

HURON — Oldham-Ramona/Rutland racked up 20 points in each of the second and third quarters and emerged with a 72-53 victory against James Valley Christian on Tuesday.

Orion Albertson had 22 points to lead four players in double figures for the Raiders, who improved to 5-3. Will Matson and Will Olson each had 14 points, while Isaac Trygstad had 11 points.

Landon Wager led JVC with 21 points, while Jevin Goertz also reached double figures with 13 points.

Ethan Barthlow led the Vikings (0-8) with eight boards. Wager finished with six steals and five assists.

James Valley Christian will travel to face Sanborn Central/Woonsocket in the opening round of the 281 Conference Tournament at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Woonsocket.

WARNER — Warner remained undefeated with a 47-34 victory against Hitchcock-Tulare on Tuesday.

The Lady Monarchs, who improved to 6-0, led 16-9 after the opening quarter and 32-19 at the half.

Summer Scepaniak had 16 points to lead three players in double figures for Warner. Ava Nilsson and Savanah Green added 14 and 13 points, respectively.

Madison Hofer was the scoring lead for the Lady Patriots (3-3) with nine points. Dannyn Peterson added eight points, while Katelyn Schroeder and Kenidee Enander added six and five points, respectively.

Hitchcock-Tulare will open play in the 281 Conference Tournament with a 7:30 p.m., game today against James Valley Christian.

WOONSOCKET — Kimball/White Lake outscored Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 21-8 in the opening half en route to a 48-36 victory on Tuesday.

Kennedy Leiferman had 21 points, 13 rebounds, three steals and two assists to lead the WildKats to the win. Kate Havlik also reached double figures with 10 points, while Ryann Nielsen had eight points.

Trinity Boschee was the lone player to reach double figures for Sanborn Central/Woonsocket with 14 points. She also had a team-high three steals and two assists.

Trista White added nine points for the Lady Blackhawks, while Teya Moody also had two assists.

Sanborn Central/Woonsocket is slated to host Iroquois/Doland in the opening round of the 281 Conference Tournament at 7:30 p.m., today in Forestburg.
