Redfield 54, Faulkton Area 50
REDFIELD — With the help of a game-high 32 points from Addison Rozell, Redfield held off a Faulkton Area rally for a 54-50 victory on Monday.

The Lady Pheasants held a 28-19 lead at the half and led by 11 points heading into the final quarter.

Chelsea Smith and Faith Jandel added seven and five points, respectively, for Redfield. Rozell also had a team-high 11 rebounds.

Isabel Aesoph sparked Faulkton Area with 26 points, while Peyton Melius added 12 points.

Redfield, which is now 1-0, hosts Aberdeen Roncalli on Thursday. Faulkton Area (0-1) is at Sunshine Bible Academy today.

WILLOW LAKE — Sioux Valley rallied in the second half to ink a 56-52 victory against Clark/Willow Lake on Saturday.

After leading 16-15 at the end of the first quarter, the Cossacks managed just eight points in the second quarter to allow Clark/Willow Lake to take at 29-24 lead at the half.

Sioux Valley outscored the Cyclones 13-7 in the third quarter and 19-16 in the final quarter to secure the win.

Reagan Johnson had 13 points to lead four players in double figures for the Cossacks. Abbie Schneider had 12 points, while Isabelle Bloker and Ashley Bjerke added 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Jada Knutson grabbed five rebounds for Sioux Valley, while Julie Schneider had three assists

Jada Burke led Clark/Willow Lake with a game-high 17 points and five rebounds. Alicia Vig had 11 points, while Charity Kabwe and Musonda Kabwe had 10 and nine points, respectively.

Burke also had two assists for the Cyclones, while Charity Kabwee had three steals.

Clark/Willow Lake will host Waverly-South Shore today in Willow Lake.

Aberdeen Christian 68, JVC 23
ABERDEEN — Malek Wieker and Brent Ekanger each had 16 points to help Aberdeen Christian to a 68-23 victory against James Valley Christian in the season opener for both teams on Saturday.

Ethan Russell and Andrew Brennan finished added 11 and 10 points, respectively, for the Knights.

Landon Wager led James Valley Christian with eight points, while Brennen Hood and Ethan Bartholow each had five points.

Bartholow snagged a team-high six rebounds for the Vikings, while Wager had two assists.

JVC traveled to face Miller on Monday, but results from that game were not available at press time. The Vikings will make their home debut on Thursday, when they host Ethan.
