Miller 68, Stanley County 54
FORT PIERRE — The Miller Rustlers jumped out to a double-digit lead after the first quarter and never looked back Monday night, as they ran away to a 68-54 win over the Stanley County Buffaloes in boys’ basketball action.
Karst Hunter scored 26 points and had 13 rebounds to pace the Rustlers, who move to 6-11 with the win. Tyler Schumacher scored 22 points and Spencer Fernholz added 11 points and had six rebounds.
Joey Fischer scored 25 points to lead the Buffaloes, who fall to 8-10 with the loss.
Miller travels to Faulkton Area tonight and closes the regular season Friday when it hosts Highmore-Harrold.

Ipswich 69, Sunshine Bible Academy 49                                                                                                  
IPSWICH — The Ipswich Tigers raced to a 49-24 first-half lead and cruised home with a 69-49 win over the Sunshine Bible Academy Crusaders in non-conference boys’ basketball Tuesday afternoon.
Carson Simes scored 15 points and Ty Kadlec added 11 to lead a Tiger effort that was 10 players enter the scorebook.
Jade Burma scored 18 points while Travis Hass scored 14 and led all rebounders with seven caroms.
Sunshine Bible, now 4-15 on the season, will close its regular season at home against Iroquois, before entering beginning post-season play.

Girls
Redfield-Doland 55, Sisseton 33
SISSETON — The Redfield-Doland Pheasants held the Sisseton Redmen to only 14 points in the second half Monday night, rolling to a 55-33 win in girls’ basketball action.
Eve Millar scored 16 points and had five rebounds to lead the Pheasants, while teammate Kailee Clausen scored 13 points and Trista Frost had 12 points and led all rebounders with eight boards.
Libby Medenwald scored 11 points and Kellie Karst had five rebounds for the Redmen, who fall to 2-16 with the loss.
Redfield-Doland, now 12-5, will close its season Thursday at Webster.
