WWSSC 26, Wagner 14
WAGNER – The Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central Blackhawks defeated the previously-unbeaten Wagner Red Raiders Friday night 26-14 in Wagner.

The Blackhawks jumped out to an early 19-0 lead at half and held off a strong third quarter from Wagner to claim the road victory.

WWSSC moved to 3-1 behind a huge game from running back Clay Olinger, who scored all four Blackhawk touchdowns and rushed for 236 yards on 29 carries. Carter Grohs added 62 yards on 10 carries as the Blackhawks tallied 348 yards rushing as a team.

Noah Wormstadt led the Blackhawk defense with nine tackles and an interception. Toby Kneen had 1.5 sacks for WWSSC.

The Red Raiders (4-1) found little traction on the ground but did see quarterback Dustin Honomichl pass for 254 yards and two touchdowns on the day. Nolan Dvorak caught 14 of Honomichl’s 23 completions, totaling 145 receiving yards and a touchdown.

The Blackhawks host Tripp Delmont/Armour/Andes Central/Dakota Christian Friday in Forestburg.

Redfield 26, Webster 9
WEBSTER - The Redfield Pheasants jumped out to an early 13-0 first quarter lead and scored a pair of late touchdowns to seal a 26-9 victory over the Webster Area Bearcats Friday in Webster.

Redfield moved to 3-2 with the win. No individual yardage statistics were available from Redfield, but Easton Miller accounted for three touchdowns, two passing and one on the ground.

Webster fell to 0-4. Quarterback Jacob Pereboom had a hand in all the Bearcats scoring, kicking a field goal and passing for the sole Webster touchdown.

Redfield hosts Deuel Friday for homecoming.

MOUNT VERNON - The Mount Vernon/Plankington Titans jumped out to a 36-0 lead at halftime and held on for a 42-0 victory over the Miller/Highmore-Harrold Rustlers Saturday in Mt. Vernon.

The Titans move to 4-1 behind a dominant defensive performance that allowed the Rustler just 42 total yards in the game while totaling 327 of its own.

Titan quarterback Reed Rus threw for 128 yards and two touchdowns and also ran for 41 yards and two more scores. Lincoln Klooz ran for 56 yards, a touchdown and three 2-point conversions.

Tate Hoffman led the Rustlers (1-4) with 39 yards rushing.

The Rustlers host Jim River Friday for homecoming.

Faulkton Area 28, Hitchcock-Tulare 24
FAULKTON - The Faulkton Area Trojans won a closely-contested homecoming game over the visiting Hitchcock-Tulare Patriots Friday in Faulkton by the score of 28-24.

The Trojans move to 4-1. No individual yardage statistics were available for Faulkton, but Parker Geditz led the Trojans with two touchdown passes, a touchdown run, and a pair of 2-point conversions.

The Patriots fell to 3-2 despite a big game from Erik Salmen. Salmen had 129 yards rushing, including an 88-yard touchdown run. He also had 16 tackles on defense.

Jack Boomsma threw for 131 yards and a touchdown while rushing for a touchdown for the Patriots. He also ran in a pair of 2-point conversions and threw a 2-point conversion pass.

Hitchcock/Tulare hosts Estelline/Hendricks in Tulare Friday for homecoming.
