James Valley Christian 62, Estelline 32
HURON — Two players reached double figures to assist the James Valley Chrisitan Vikings in their dominating 62-32 win over the Estelline Redmen, Saturday in Class “B” boys’ basketball action.
The Vikings towered over the Redmen at the end of the first quarter by nine points, and had more than doubled Estelline’s score by half time, while the Redmen were unable to recover.
Darrian Hood led the Vikings, now 8-11 on the season, with a game-high of 13 points and six rebounds, while Calton Schweigart added 10 more and led the rebounders with eight.
Marcis Hausman was the only player for the Redmen to reach double figures with 11 points, while Thomas West led the team’s rebounders with five.
The James Valley Christian Vikings will return to the court on Friday when they host the Wessington Springs Spartans, while the Estelline Redmen with take on the De Smet Bulldogs on Monday.

Potter County 60, Hitchcock-Tulare 47
GETTYSBURG — The Potter County Battlers sprinted to a 23-9 lead after the first quarter and never let the cushion shrink, taking a 60-47 win over the Hitchcock-Tulare Patriots Saturday in non-conference boys’ basketball.
Cole Nafziger scored 21 points and Dawson Simon added 19 points and had seven rebounds for the Battlers, who move to 12-6 with the win.
For the Patriots, now 6-12, Ty Hofer scored 21 points, had a game-high 12 rebounds and handed out three assists. Teammate Zach Binger added 15 points and 10 boards for H-T.
The Patriots will host Wolsey-Wessington on Tuesday in Hitchcock.

GETTYSBURG — The Potter County Lady Battlers led the Hitchcock-Tulare Lady Patriots at all the quarter stops, emerging with a 62-49 non-conference girls basketball win Saturday afternoon.
Jenna Robbennolt scored 20 points and had four assists, while Kori Hansen added 13 points for the Lady Battlers, who improve to 9-9 with the win. Karen Smith led all rebounders with seven boards.
Elizabeth Salmen scored 14 points for Hitchcock-Tulare, which falls to 11-8 with the loss. Salmen and Ashley Masat each claimed four rebounds.
The Lady Patriots will close their regular season on Tuesday, when they host Wolsey-Wessington in Hitchcock.

HURON — The Estelline Lady Redmen escaped with a 55-36 victory over the James Valley Christian Lady Vikings, in Class “B” girls’ basketball action on Saturday night.
Estelline had a five-point lead by the end of the first quarter, while James Valley did not manage to recover at each stop. The Lady Redmen improved to 5-13 on the season, while the Lady Vikings dropped to 4-14 with the loss.
Brinn Begalka led Estelline with a game-high of 21 points and five rebounds, followed by Kylie Beare with nine more.
Karilyn Witing and Rebekah Williams tallied up nine points each to lead James Valley, while Summer Gross led the rebounders with ten.
The Lady Vikings will travel to Forestburg to take on the Sanborn Central-Woonsocket Blackhawks on Monday night, while the Lady Redmen are set to battle with the De Smet Bulldogs on Tuesday.
