Area golfers to compete in state tournaments

SIOUX FALLS — Fourteen area golfers will be competing in the Class B State Golf Tournaments, which are scheduled for Monday and Tuesday.
The Class B Girls’ State Tournament will be held at Prairie Green Golf Course in Sioux Falls, while the Class B Boys’ State Tournament will be held at Spring Creek Golf Course in Harrisburg.
Clark-Willow Lake will have three golfers in the Class B girls’ tourney. Representing the Cyclones will be Maddie Forest, Kaitlyn Maynard and Jocee Nelson.
Qualifying for the state meet from Wessington Springs were Jaycee Hohn and Chloe Munsen.

Other area golfers in the Class B girls’ meet are Erin Moncur of Miller, Abby Rose Miller of James Valley Christian, Kennedy Ruml of De Smet and Zoe Tvedt of Highmore-Harrold.
James Valley Christian and Miller will each have a pair of golfers competing in the Class B boys’ meet.
Representing the Vikings will be Carter Wells and Ryan Stahl. Austin Boomsma and Cory Breland have qualified for the Rustlers.
Also reaching the state tournament was Trevor Ryan of Highmore-Harrold.
Class A
Kesha Arthurs of Redfield-Doland is the lone area golfer in the Class A Girls’ State Golf Tournament, which will be held Monday and Tuesday at Central Valley Golf Course in Hartford.
