Highmore-Harrold 59, North Central 23
HIGHMORE – The Highmore-Harrold Pirates opened postseason play with a dominant 59-23 victory over the North Central Titans Tuesday in Highmore.

Letha Jessen led eight Pirates in the scoring column with 16 points and also paced the team with seven rebounds as Highmore-Harrold improves to 15-5 on the year. Grace Knox added 11 points.

Kassie Hale and Haley Husted led the Pirates with five assists apiece.

Brittney Frickson led the Titans with seven points. Grace Walz grabbed seven rebounds to lead North Central, who finishes the year 4-12.

The Pirates move on to face Faulkton Area in Highmore Thursday in a qualifying game for the SoDak 16.

TULARE – The James Valley Christian Lady Vikings trailed at the end of every break except the one that mattered, defeating the Hitchcock-Tulare Lady Patriots in the opening round of the Region 3B tournament by a score of 48-46.

The Lady Vikings move to 13-7 on the year with the victory behind 19 points from Karilyn Wieting and 15 points from Brenna Held. Kaylie Robinson led JVC with nine rebounds.

Hitchcock-Tulare finishes its season at 9-9. Dannyn Peterson led the Lady Patriots with 18 points.

James Valley moves on to play undefeated Castlewood in Madison Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

CLARK – The Clark/Willow Lake Cyclones held off a late rally from the Tiospa Zina Wambdi Tuesday in Clark to come away with a 52-47 victory.

The Cyclones were led by Tyler ONeill with 15 points and Brady Jordan with 14 points.

Renner Uecker grabbed nine rebounds for Clark/Willow Lake.

Tiospa Zina fell to 12-5 despite a game-high mark of 17 points from Juron Adams.

The Cyclones play Friday at Arlington.
