Area runners compete at Potter County Invite

GETTYSBURG  – The home boys from Potter County won their own invite Saturday, while Ipswich took the girls team title at the Potter County Cross Country Invite Saturday in Gettysburg.

Ian Heyer of Timber Lake won the boys’ individual division while seventh-grader Autumn Fallis of Highmore-Harrold was the top runner in the girls’ division.

Among the boys, Highmore-Harrold finished fifth in the boys’ team competition.

Dawson Hale was the Pirates’ highest finisher, placing 10th. Carson Stephenson finished 20th, Bryton Converse 24th, and Carter LaMont 27th for Highmore-Harrold.

Everett Paul of Sunshine Bible was the highest local boys’ finisher, taking seventh.

Gage Davis finished 16th for the Crusaders.

Cole Schroeder and Josiah Wiebe of Hitchcock-Tulare finished 18th and 23rd, respectively.

Kaleb Cleveland of Wolsey-Wessington finished 28th.

Wolsey-Wessington finished third in the girls’ team competition.

Kendal Uttecht was the high placer for the Warbirds, finishing in seventh place.

Timber Haeder finished 14th, Breana Ludemann 15th, and Shiara Noyes 17th for Wolsey-Wessington.

Payton Fox finished sixth overall for Sunshine Bible Academy.

Maddie Knox finished ninth for Highmore-Harrold.

Hitchcock-Tulare’s Cambree McNeil and Jessica Godfrey finished 13th and 19th, respectively.
