Area Veterans Day programs set

Several area towns are hosting special Veterans Day programs and events, all on Sunday.
The program in Huron will begin at 2 p.m., hosted by the Huron Veterans Council, at the Huron High School auditorium.
The Alpena American Legion Post No. 116 and Auxiliary will commemorate Veteran’s Day and the birthday of the American Legion Auxiliary with a potluck supper and meetings on Sunday, Nov. 11, at 6 p.m. at the Alpena Community Center. District 6 Legion Commander Doug Feltman will be a guest.
The Hitchcock American Legion Auxiliary will be hosting a Veterans Day potluck and card party Sunday, Nov. 11, at 6 p.m. in the Legion Hall.
Bring a dish to pass and stay for the card party to follow the meal.
Everyone is welcome to attend.
The event is sponsored by the Raymond Hart Post No. 84 American Legion and Auxiliary.
