WOONSOCKET – The Hitchcock-Tulare Lady Patriots claimed a 281 conference road victory in straight sets over the Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Blackhawks Tuesday in Woonsocket 25-17, 25-16, 25-15.

The Lady Patriots move to 13-3 on the season with the victory. Kenidee Enander set up the evening for the Lady Patriots by going 71 of 71 setting with 31 assists.

Dannyn Peterson was 16 of 17 on the attack for Hitchcock-Tulare with nine kills. Cassidy Johnson led the defense with 17 digs and also was 12 of 12 serving with a pair of aces.

Katelyn Schroeder added 10 digs for Hitchcock-Tulare while Ashley Masat led the squad with four blocks.

With the loss, the Blackhawks fall to 7-10 on the year.

They were led by Teya Moody with 19 digs on defense. Trista White added 13 digs.

Morgan Schmiedt set up the Blackhawk offense with nine assists. Brooke Doering paced the team with six kills.

Hitchcock-Tulare hosts Sully Buttes in Tulare Friday while the Blackhawks will host Bridgewater-Emery in Forestburg Friday.

Miller 3, Wolsey-Wessington 1
MILLER — With the biggest set win being a mere three points, Miller got past Wolsey-Wessington 3-1 on Monday.

The Rustlers won the match with set scores of 25-23, 27-25, 22-25 and 25-23.

Storm Johnsen had 18 kills on 69 of 81 attacks for Miller, while Ally Mullaney was 37 of 42 hitting with 16 kills. Regan DeBoer converted on 16 of 18 serves with two aces, while Johnsen was 13 of 14 serving with an ace and Macie Werdel was 14 of 15 serving with an ace.

Alvena Batin was 174 of 175 setting with 47 assists for the Rustlers, who improved to 6-10. Werdel was 18 of 21 passing with 33 digs, while Johnsen was 16 of 18 passing with 23 digs. Batin and Payton Kilker added 21 and 16 digs, respectively.

Mya Boomsma led Wolsey-Wessington with 26 kills, while Leah Williams had 10 kills. Hailey Clarke was 18 of 21 serving with three aces and Boomsma was perfect on 16 serves with three aces.

Clarke and Taylor Horn had 18 and 15 assists, respectively, for the Lady Warbirds, who are now 8-7. Lainey Uttecht had 36 digs, while Macie Luce and Clarke each had 10 digs. Luce and Ayssa Hiles each had three blocks.

Miller travels to play Ethan on Friday. Wolsey-Wessington hosted Sunshine Bible Academy on Tuesday and will host Redfield on Monday.
