Wolsey-Wessington 3, Hitchcock-Tulare 0
WOLSEY - The Wolsey-Wessington Lady Warbirds moved to 3-2 on the season with a sweep over the Hitchcock-Tulare Lady Patriots Thursday in Wolsey.

Set scores for the Lady Warbirds were 25-14, 25-19, and 25-20.

The Lady ‘Birds were led by Kailynn Dorris with 13 kills on 30 of 34 hitting. Dorris also went 12 of 12 serving with an ace.

Payton Kemnitz set up the W-W offense with 16 assists while Shae Uttecht led the Lady Warbird defense with 19 digs.

Ella Johnson led the Lady Patriots (5-3) with nine kills on 34 of 41 hitting. Katelyn Schroeder led H-T with 15 digs and was 11 of 13 serving with an ace.

The Lady Warbirds will host a tournament Saturday in Wolsey while the Lady Patriots head to Clark Saturday for a tournament hosted by Clark/Willow Lake.

Parkston 3, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 1
FORESTBURG - The Parkston Trojans pulled out a 3-1 victory over the Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Blackhawks Tuesday at Sanborn Central High School in Forestburg.

The Trojans won with set scores of 25-20, 20-25, 25-8, and 25-21.

Parkston (6-2) was led by Mya Nuebel with 19 kills and six aces. Gracie Oakley nailed 11 kills.

Avery Bogenreif set up the Parkston offense with 46 assists while Berkley Ziebart paced the Trojan defense with 21 digs.

The Blackhawks fell to 3-4 despite 10 kills, four blocks, and a pair of service aces by Liz Boschee. Kam Ochsner added 15 digs and four blocks.

The Blackhawks travel to Wolsey Saturday to participate in the Warbird Volleyball Invite.

Ipswich 3, Sunshine Bible Academy 0
IPSWICH - The Ipswich Tigers swept the Sunshine Bible Academy Crusaders on Thursday in Ipswich by scores of 25-21, 25-15, and 25-19.

The Tigers move to 2-3 with the victory behind 15 kills for Gabby Wald on 29 of 30 hitting. Marley Guthmiller also went 29 for 30 on the attack, with 10 kills, and also was 14 of 15 from the service line with three aces.

Reaghan Bowers was 18 of 19 serving with a pair of aces while also setting up the Tiger attack with 14 assists.

Sunshine Bible falls to 0-3. The Crusaders were led by Addison Pearl and Betra Amare who were both 11 of 11 serving with an ace apiece.

The Crusaders are back in action Saturday at Wolsey at the Warbird Volleyball Invite.
