Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 3, JVC 0
WOONSOCKET – The Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Blackhawks swept the James Valley Christian Lady Vikings in Woonsocket Tuesday 25-21, 25-21, 25-22.

The Blackhawks (7-8) were led by three attackers with double-digit kills on the evening. Trista White led the way with 16 kills and also pitched in 15 digs.

Cassidy Slykhuis nailed 10 kills and had three blocks. Brooke Doering also had 10 kills along with a pair of blocks and 16 digs.

Morgan Schmiedt set up the Blackhawk attack with 27 assists and added 14 digs. Teya Moody paced the defense with 20 digs.

James Valley Christian fell to 5-8 on the year with the loss. The Lady Vikings were led by Karilyn Wieting, who went 123 for 127 in setting with 19 assists.

Brenna Held was 27 for 32 on the attack with nine kills for the Lady Vikings. She also pitched in four blocks and was 12 of 13 at the service line with an ace.

The Lady Vikings host Sunshine Bible Academy Thursday while Sanborn Central/Woonsocket travels to White Lake to take on Kimball/White Lake.


Flandreau 3, Clark/Willow Lake 0
WILLOW LAKE – The Flandreau Fliers pulled off the surprising road upset on Tuesday night, defeating the Clark/Willow Lake Cyclones in straight sets, 25-13, 27-25, 25-20.

Flandreau moves to 3-15 on the season with the victory. Maria Parsley led the defensive effort for the Fliers with 19 digs. Macy Kneebone added 14 digs and led the team with nine assists.

Lizzie Pavlis led Flandreau with six kills.

The Cyclones drop to 10-8 with the loss. Morgan Burke set up the Clark/Willow Lake attack with 20 assists and also had 11 digs on the night.

Jada Burke led the Cyclones with 10 kills. Logan Hurlbert added 10 digs. Allison Kannegieter was 14 of 15 serving with a pair of aces.

Clark/Willow Lake travels to Redfield on Thursday.


Kimball/White Lake 3, Miller 0
KIMBALL — Using set scores of 25-15, 25-16 and 25-16, Kimball/White Lake recorded a sweep against Miller on Monday to improve to 10-3.

Storm Johnsen led the Rustlers, who are now 3-9, with eight kills on 23 of 28 attacks. Tyra Gates was 11 of 13 hitting with three kills, while Cynthia Ford had three kills on 13 of 20 hits and Alvena Batin was 5 of 7 hitting.

Kathryn Aymar was perfect on 10 serves with two aces for Miller, while Macie Werdel was 12 of 13 with an ace. Regan DeBoer was 7 of 7 serving and Payton Kilker was 4 of 5.

Gates went 89 of 90 setting with 12 assists for the Rustlers and had a team-high 11 digs. Kilker had 10 digs, while Werdel and Aymar tallied seven and five digs, respectively.
