Ashley Marie Wegleitner was born on January 15, 1994, during a snow storm, to Larry and Linda Wegleitner in Huron. She attended Huron schools until she was 21. Ashley attended day services for a short time and made several friends. Ashley loved going to the zoo and riding the Ferris wheel, the Sioux Falls trolley and merry-go-round. Ashley’s favorite color was red and she loved butterflies and horses.
Ashley was Daddy’s little buddy from day one. She enjoyed animals, especially horses. She participated in Special Olympics; earning many medals. She enjoyed scrapbooking with her family, reading Joyce Meyer’s books with her mom and fishing. She also read the Bible with her mom and went on walks with her family. Ashley enjoyed French fries, ice cream, Doritos and cheese. She loved riding the bus and her favorite bus driver, Mona. She also enjoyed her visits and time with her family and special friends. Ashley liked to camp with her family and loved listening to Christian music. When Ashley would get frustrated, she would get her Joyce Meyer devotional book and point to a scripture and then ask her parents to “read this scripture.” Her favorite saying was telling everyone “Good Job!”
Ashley was grateful for getting to know her Grandma Regina whom she loved to visit. She also enjoyed going to her Aunt Gloria and Gleva’s.
Ashley lived a short life, but now she is with Jesus in Heaven forever, free from sickness and pain.
She was preceded in death by Grandpa John Wegleitner; Grandpa Warren and Grandma Elaine Spicer; StepGrandpa Larry Kenbel and Aunt Joyce Spicer.
Grateful for having shared in her life are her parents; and her sister, Emily. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins as well as many special friends.
