HURON — The Make-A-Wish Foundation granted a wish Monday to three-year-old Aurora Schnathorst of Huron, who was born with a rare genetic disease called Pontocerebellar Hypoplasia (PCH), and her wish is to go to Sea World in Orlando, Fla.
Aurora’s parents, Skip and Bobbi, siblings and family members, plus the Wish Team, which consists of Laurie Smith, Mary Jacobs and Gerry Schied, all gathered at Prospect Park on Monday evening to announce her wish is coming true. The whole family are taking an all expenses paid trip to Orlando, Fla., Oct. 20 to 26, paid for by the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
“It will be a week of no worries for the family,” said Mary Jacobs.

The wish is funded by a local wine and cheese tasting fundraiser, which was held in August 2015, called “A Glass Full of Wishes,” from which 100 percent of the proceeds went to the Make-A-Wish Foundation for a Huron child’s wish to come true.
