OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Barbara Ann Nelson, 87, of Overland Park, Kan., passed away Saturday, December 22, 2018, at the Gables Memory Care Center in Overland Park, Kan.
A Memorial Mass will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 29, at Holy Trinity Church at Lenexa, Kan. A Military Internment will take place in Ft. Leavenworth, Kan. at a later date.
Barbara was born August 26, 1931, at St. Joseph, Mo. to Charles and Josephine Kamler. She was a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her presence within her family is irreplaceable and will be forever treasured.
She is survived by her children, Victoria Richter of Overland Park, Kan., Deborah (Bob) Peterson of Foley, Ala., Dr. Faith (Fred) Nelson-Eagles of Springfield, Mo., Kathryn (Lance)Rice of Creighton Neb., Robert (Angela) Nelson of Lenexa, Kan.,and U.S. Army Lt. Colonel John C. (Neileen) Nelson stationed in Italy; brothers, Fred (Teresa) Kamler of Lenexa, Kan., and Edward (Donna) Kamler of Kansas City, Mo; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeced in death by her husband, John H. Nelson; brother, Karl Thomas Kamler; and brother-in-law, Jim Nelson.
