HURON — The South Dakota Department of Health (DOH) released lower testing numbers on Monday, though the state still reported 567 new positive cases with 27 new hospitalizations.
The state currently has 8,388 active COVID-19 cases along with 304 state residents currently hospitalized due to the virus.
Beadle County added 13 new positive cases along with one new hospitalized case on Monday. The new positive cases pushed the county over 200 active cases to 201, which is the first time since early June that the county has been over 200 active cases.
The Heartland region exceeded 400 active cases with Monday’s numbers from the DOH after 21 new positives across the seven-county region.
