Beadle adds 27 new positive cases

HURON — The release from the South Dakota Department of Health (DOH) Monday covered the cases released Thursday afternoon through Friday morning last week. This continued the trend of high case numbers reported throughout last week.

The state reported 1,683 new positive cases, six new deaths, and 385 new recovered cases in Monday’s DOH report. Active cases in the state rose to 17,219.

Beadle County added 27 new positive cases and nine new recovered cases in Monday’s report. Active cases bumped up to 264.

The currently hospitalized due to complications from the virus in the county went up by one to six, including one who is on ventilation.

The Heartland Region added 50 new positive cases and 25 new recovered cases across the seven counties in the region. Active virus cases in the Heartland jumped to 549.
