Beadle adds four; active cases at 77

HURON —– The state stayed on par with average new positive cases seen throughout the new year thus far in Friday’s South Dakota Department of Health (DOH) numbers, and a local county suffered a death for the second day in a row.

The state added 425 new positive cases, 406 new recovered cases, and 15 new deaths in Friday’s DOH numbers.

The active COVID-19 cases in the state are at 4,732.

Beadle County added four new positive cases and six new recovered cases in Friday’s tally. The county’s active cases dropped by two to 77.

Clark County added a death for the second day in a row, bringing the county’s total to four overall. The Heartland Region had 178 active cases across the seven counties in the region, according to Friday’s DOH numbers.
