HURON — After no numbers were reported by the South Dakota Department of Health (DOH) Sunday, Monday saw the state, region, and Beadle County all see an increase in active cases.
The state reported 187 new positive cases, one new death, and 174 new recovered cases. That pushed the active COVID-19 cases in the state to 2,425.
Beadle County added two new positive cases without a new recovered case. This lifted the active cases in the county up to 41.
The Heartland Region noted added active cases in multiple counties Monday with the seven-county region adding 11 new positive cases in Monday’s DOH numbers while adding just three recovered cases across the region.
The Heartland reported 136 active cases when all was said and done Monday.
