HURON — The Third Judicial Circuit is proud to announce that Beadle County Drug Court will hold commencement ceremonies at 1 p.m. Wednesday on the third floor Courtroom of the Beadle County Courthouse.
The graduate’s mentor, Troy Styer, will be the guest speaker. The public is invited to attend.
The Beadle County Drug Court began in July 2015 and is one of 19 problem-solving courts in the state. Drug Courts are specially designed criminal dockets aimed at reducing criminal recidivism and substance abuse.

Beadle County Drug Court targets felony offenders with legal issues stemming from drug or other chemical addictions.
Participants are subject to intensive supervision by the court and frequent, random drug testing throughout the program, while being provided the treatment and skills to live a sober life.
They are guided by a team of professionals who monitor their progress as they find a healthier peer group, obtain employment, pay on debts, give back to the community through volunteer service, and focus on their families and children.
At commencement, the graduate will have amassed 504 days of sobriety. He has paid all his court costs, found steady employment he enjoys, and is a responsible parent. He has reported for, and passed, over 150 random drug tests.
The Beadle County Drug Court team cordially invites the public to the graduation ceremony to help celebrate and recognize the accomplishments of the graduate.
A reception will be held immediately following the ceremony.
