Each year, the South Dakota Highway Patrol receives Beef Bucks to give to area law enforcement families who would benefit from the donation due to some sort of major incident or unexpected illness. Each squad is provided with the vouchers and asked to select the law enforcement family they feel could use a leg up with this gift. Presenting them to the Dan Schlader family on Thursday were Huron area troopers, from left, Shane Snyder, Mark Chamberlain, Joelle Schuknecht, John Schroeder and Andrew Miller. With Schlader, a patrol sergeant with the Huron Police Department, are his wife, Terri, and son, Brayden.
