WESSINGTON SPRINGS — Betty Marie Hoefert, 90, of Wessington Springs, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2019, at Weskota Manor.
The funeral service will be 10:30 a.m.,
Saturday, March 16, at the Foothills Bible Fellowship Church in Wessington Springs. Burial will be in Mizpah Cemetery at Plankinton. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. at the church followed by a prayer service at 7 p. m.
Betty was born June 7, 1928, in White Lake to Joeseph and Bertha (Wolfe) Anton. She graduated from White Lake High School. She was united in marriage to Ray Hoefert October 12, 1953. They farmed north of Plankinton until Ray’s death in 2003, when she then moved into an apartment in Wessington Springs. She was a true farm wife and took pride in cooking large meals everyday for the hired men.
She is survived by her daughter, Connie (Kelly); daughter-in-law, Joan; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and special family friends, the Larson family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; son, Tom; and siblings, Carol Hettinger, Hazel Wilson, and Alvin Anton.
