TEL AVIV, Israel — Brenda Hofer, 43, of Tel Aviv, Israel, passed away from a rare aggressive form of cancer Monday, February 12, 2018, at Wolfson Medical Center in Tel Aviv, Israel.
She is entombed in Tel Aviv/Jafo, Israel overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
Brenda Cathleen Hofer was born Aug. 20, 1974, in Clarkston, Wash. to Peter and Cheryl (Cunningam) Hofer, who lived in Lewiston, Idaho. She graduated from Lewiston Senior High School in 1993.
In 2011, she felt led to attend Bible school and moved to Oregon to attend Multnomah School of the Bible. She graduated in 2015, with a degree in intercultural studies. She applied for a short-term mission with Shevet Achim in Israel to complete her practicum. She assisted with hostess duties for families of children primarily from Kurdistan (northern Iraq) and Gaza, who were brought to Israel for life-saving heart surgeries. Upon completing her practicum, Shevet invited her to joined their staff. She continued help children and families at the home while waiting for surgery or post-hospitalization.
She is survived by her mother, Cheryl Hofer; sisters, Cindy (Bob) Wagstaff, Stephanie (Chad) McFarland; nephews, Robbie Wagstaff, and Leighton and Logan McFarland; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; and her father, Pete Hofer.
