LANE — Brenda Jones, 52 of Lane, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018, at her residence.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday January 25, at Foothills Bible Fellowship Church in Wessington Springs with burial in Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday evening at the church with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Brenda Sue Jones was born September 9, 1965, in Wessington Springs to Walter and Esther Irene Hines. She was united in marriage to Larry Douglas Jones September 4, 1985. She spent her life happily in Lane.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, she enjoyed spending time with those close to her. She delighted in doing several crafts projects, collecting stamps and playing games on her computer.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Jones; daughters, Katie Sue Jones, and Lisa Marie (Daniel) Sommers; siblings, Duane (Lavonne) Hines, Howard Hines, Don (Mary) Hines, Beverly Engelkes, Elaine Schlenker, Shirley Hines, and Donna (Ed) Gray; sister in law, Vickie Hines; grandchildren, Gabriel, Winter, and Isabella Sommers; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Charles, Leonard, Larry Hines and Darlene Hines;, brothers-in-law, Orvil Schlenker and Joe Engelkes; and sister-in-law, Doris Hines.
