HOWARD — Bridget Agatha Hoveland, 86, of Howard, passed away, Saturday, July 8, 2017, at her daughter’s home in Waunakee, Wis.
Memorial Mass service will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 5, at St. Agatha’s Catholic Church in Howard. Scripture and Rosary service will be 7 p.m., with visitation one hour prior to services at the church. Inurnment will be 11a.m. Monday, August 7, in Black Hills National Cemetery at Sturgis.
 Bridget was born February 13, 1931, near De Smet to John and Martha (Feuerstein) Winker.  In 1949, she graduated from St. Agatha’s High School in Howard. In 1953 she moved to Huron to work for the State FCI Office. She was united in marriage to John DeWayne Hoveland in 1954.
 She was a member St. Agatha Catholic Church. She was an avid hunter and camper.  One of her passions was travel and she visited almost all of the 50 states as well as several countries abroad.
She is survived by her children, Deborah (Bill) Young of Mechanicsburg, Pa., and Janet (Wayne) Ruhland of Waunakee, Wis.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Ferry of Howard; sister-in-law, Patricia Winker; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; and eleven brothers and sisters.
