MILLER — Bud Johnson, 72, of Miller, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017 at home.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 6,  at Reck Funeral Home in  Miller.  Burial will be in G.A.R Cemetery at Miller.
Clinton Royce “Bud” Johnson was born August 26, 1944, to Trygve and Edith (Campbell) Johnson. He attended rural school in Hand County and high school in Gann Valley.  He was drafted into the Army and was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam Conflict from 1965 to 1967.
He was united in marriage to Nancy Heezen October 28, 1967. They made their home in Hand County for 32 years. He loved working with horses, shearing sheep, and working as a ranch hand. He drove truck, worked at Huron Dressed Beef and Darrel’s Rock, Sand, and Gravel. He enjoyed attending 4-H events at the local and state level.
He is survived by his children, Sherry (Greg) Schortzmann, and Troy Johnson; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four brothers, Cecil (Rachel), Clayton (Karen), Robert (Bev), and Bill (Gloria); sister, Tryva; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, Nancy Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Clair and Stan; and his daughter, Sondra.
Reck Funeral Home of Miller has been entrusted with Bud’s arrangements.
