HURON — Ethan Busch, who was a member of the Huron Pee Wee hockey team, joined the NHG Beast team of Blaine, Minn., for the CAN/AM Challenge Cup held Thursday through Sunday in Lake Placid, N.Y.
The NHG Beast team was made up of players from the Upper Midwest.

Busch scored with 59 seconds remaining to help his squad to a 2-0 victory against Jersey City, N.J., in its opening game.
After recording a 2-1 victory against New England and a 9-1 win against Schenectady, N.Y., the Beast dropped a 5-3 decision to Reston, Va.
Despite the loss, NHG had compiled enough points to qualify for the championship game.
The Beast faced New England again in the title game and earned the gold medal with a 5-4 win in overtime. Busch had the assist on the game-winning goal and finished the event with two goals and two assists.
