HURON — Callyann Wallenstein, age 27, of Huron, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017, as a result of a motor vehicle accident.
Her funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 12, at the First Assembly of God Church. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Kuhler Funeral Home with her family present from 5 to 7 p.m. There will be a Prayer Service at 7 p.m.
Callyann Marie Wallenstein was born April 4, 1990, in Huron to Mike and Lori (Gross) Wallenstein. She graduated from Huron High School in 2008 and was currently enrolled at Northern State University, due to graduate in May with a Bachelor’s degree in business. At the time of her death, she was employed at the Center for Independence.
She is survived by her children, Jose Miguel Mejia, Liliana Moreno-Wallenstein, and Asher Moreno-Wallenstein; special friend, Gilberto Gonzalez of Huron; parents, Mike and Lori Wallenstein of Huron; brother, Todd Wallenstein of Huron; grandparents, MaryLou Wallenstein of Huron, Gordon and Mary Gross of Huron, and Donna and Patrick Keatts of Aberdeen; five uncles; three aunts; one niece; and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Richard Wallenstein; and cousins, Bradley Rosenburger, and Keith Schraeder.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to a fund for Callyann’s children.
