CARTHAGE — Carolyn Garness, 80, of Carthage passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2018, at the Dougherty Hospice House, Sioux Falls.
Funeral services will be 11a.m., Tuesday, October 9, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Carthage with burial to follow in Pleasantview Cemetery at Carthage.Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
Carolyn Garness was born July 11, 1938, at Carthage to Olaf and Mabel (Sneesby) Garness. She was raised in the Carthage area where she attended and graduated from Carthage High School.
She is survived by her son, Jess (Nancy Partch) McCabe of Mora, Minn.; daughters, Terri Jensen of Carthage, and Donna McCabe of Minneapolis, Minn.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Leonard Garness of Aberdeen, Roger (Jessie) Garness of Mitchell, and Dennis (Alice) Garness of Mitchell; and other relatives and friends.
