HURON — Carroll A. Ray, 96, of Huron, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2019, at the Redfield Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Per his wishes, a private family service with military honors by the Huron Veteran’s Council will be held.
Carroll A. Ray was born May 26, 1922, in Huron to parents Ulysses and Harriett (Carroll) Ray. He attended Huron Schools and Huron College.
He was a Captain and a glider pilot in the U.S. Army, serving from July 28, 1943, to November 23, 1945. He was united in marriage to Geraldine Adel Van Dyke in Little Rock, Ark. March 12, 1943. She passed away in Los Angeles in 1989.
He owned and operated Ray-Pacific Company Sports. He lived in Huron, Colorado, and Los Angeles.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, James Ray, and Shirley Ray.
