John and Tierra Cassens will be presenting a recital, “SoDak Tour: The Last Ride,” at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, at the Fine Arts Center on the Huron Community Campus.
Works by Leoš Janáček, Zdeněk Fibich, Neil Diamond, and various musical theater selections will be performed.
Tierra is the daughter of Jeff and Teresa Decker of Huron. John and Tierra just finished their studies in music at Northern State University.
This will be the couple’s last tour before moving to Lincoln, Neb., to pursue additional studies in music. Tierra will be pursuing her Master’s in Piano Pedagogy and Performance at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and John will be a paid intern at CL Barnhouse Publishing.
The recital is free and a freewill offering will be accepted.
