HURON — Get into the spirit of Christmas with the We Found Sound 15th annual Christmas show, “Christmas Celebration,” that will be presented at four action-packed shows next weekend.
Showtimes will be at 2 and 5 p.m. both Saturday, Dec. 1, and Sunday, Dec. 2, in the Huron Fine Arts Center, 939 Ohio Ave. S.W. The theatre has 256 amazing seats. The group is under the direction of Katie Scheibe and Kristi Kattner.
Advance tickets ($6) are available at American Bank & Trust and Farmers & Merchants Bank, all locations, until 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30. Tickets will also be available at the door.
We Found Sound, a 60-member show choir, has two groups, WFS Minors (grades three through seven) and WFS Majors (grades eight and up).
Some of the songs the groups will perform include “The Candy Cane Twist,” “Last Christmas,” “Hope Is Born In Bethlehem,” “Who Would Imagine a King,” and many favorite Christmas songs.

The performance will also feature specialty groups: the Boom Whackers, Hand Bells and the White Glove Crew. The junior and senior ensemble will also perform.
The We Found Sound Show Choir was founded by Scheibe and Kattner, two friends who believed Huron needed a community show choir. Their passion for working with youth and their love of music was a perfect match for their dream.
Group members come from Huron, Wolsey and Woonsocket. They hold 12 regular rehearsals to prepare for each show. They present a two shows annually, one at Christmas and one in the spring.
We Found Sound will also be performing as part of the Salvation Army Christmas Basket Program Tuesday night at Huron High School. People are welcome to watch the program live at HHS Auditorium.
“The kids work very hard learning choreography and the words to all of their songs,” Kattner said. “Please come and support these awesome kids.
“I believe that as musicians it’s our job to spread joy to the world,” Kattner added. “Come kick off your holiday season with us, you will leave with a song in your heart and be filled with joy that you can’t help but share with others!”
Scheibe said everyone is welcome to come and join in the fun.
“The holiday season is quickly approaching, let us help you get in the holiday spirit and ready to celebrate Christmas,” Scheibe said.
