Chamber needs holiday helpers

HURON — Independence Day is right around the corner and the Huron Chamber and Visitors Bureau is busy preparing for the celebration.  To that end, the Chamber is seeking some volunteer help for some of the activities on the 4th.
Here is a list of spots where the Chamber could use a few extra sets of hands.

Traffic Control - Approximately five people are still needed to put on a security vest and stand at an intersection along Dakota Avenue and block traffic from entering the parade route.  This is an easy way to help and  watch the parade at the same time.
Serve BBQ in Campbell Park - Immediately after the parade the Chamber will serve a pork loin meal. They could use one or two more people to help with this.
Set up and tear down for the BBQ - The staff could use some help hauling coolers, tables, canopy tents, pop, water, etc. to Campbell Park.  They will start around 8 a.m. and will be done before the parade starts. Tear down will start around 1 p.m. Many hands make for lighter work!
Call 352-0000, or email cvb@huronsd.com if you can help.
